I had a stainless steel line that failed at the one year point. I had just returned from deer hunting and noticed oil all under my truck and on the tail gate. The line failed at the hose to fitting connection point. I was glad I kept the plugs in my truck. I never noticed a difference in performance in either configuration.

It should be whatever your High Pressure Oil Pump is putting out. I believe it would be between 400 and 800 psi. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Think about what you want to do. I once thought of going with the HPX line myself. If I had done that, I would have gone with the SS line so there is no chance of a break. Anyways, since I thought of going with the BTS Big Oil system, I nixed the idea of the HPX line because the BTS BO system would take care of that.

That would be ideal, but the line will take care of the problem until a BIG oil system can be purchased.

I don't think it does much performance-wise. I noticed smoother/quieter idle after mine went in. Just make sure you torque it properly so it doesn't leak. Ask me how I know...

Just as long as I get a smoother quieter idle it will be worth it. Mine is pretty rough right now. Just waiting to receive it in the mail.

it made it difference in idle and a little on the noise..what made the biggest difference was the intake mod from ITP..truck is so much quitter and smoother after that...

I am unfamiliar with the intake mod from ITP. Please explain what you are talking about. Thanks.

I believe he meant the "in-tank" mods from ITP, aka the Hutch mod. That one REALLY makes a difference to how it sounds and how it runs. Sucking air-impregnated fuel through the injectors makes for a noisy engine.
