i have a clunking when i turn left when i am moving. i just replaced the upper and lower ball joints and the 4wd u joints on the axle shaft. i have manual locking hubs, its a 2003 f 350 dually 6.0 liter diesel. this is driving me crazy if anyone can help me please!
My truck made a loud pop noise intermittently when turning left or right at low speeds it ended up being the trac bar bushings. I replaced them and have no more noise. Also everytime this thing popped you could definately feel it through the floor board under your feet
I had a similar problem and the culprit was the rear bushing on my front leaf spring. You can probably poke your head under there and see if the bushing is deteriorated.
Check your hubs and make sure they are not locked. Switch them from Auto to Lock and back a few times. Mine did this same thing and this simple procedure cured it (until next time).
i definatly know that my hubs arent locked in, i checked that and ill prob check the sway bar bushings and the leaf spring bushings and we will see how it turns out
i kind of have the same problem but mine is not loud. you can slightly hear it and slightly feel it too. not sure what it is but will check those listed. if prob. persist i am taking it to dealer and goin to prob. fight with them for them to finally find the problem and fix it.
well here is an update. i replaced the swaybar ed links and they were def worn out but i still do have the clunking. the dealership didnt have the swaybar bushings i needed but thats next and hopefully this will solve the problem

went to ford with my problem and said it i was front wheel baring. they changed it and made it better but still little noise when i turn left. i believe i have to rotate my tires and it will go away we'll see when i do.
