Sprak Plug build-up
today I pulled my spark plugs out to check them and they all had a build-up of brite white "ash". it seemed to be burnt ont them pretty good I had to scrape it off with a screwdriver. my question is , what causes this build-up? is it a mixture problem?

Mine does the same , mostly on plug 3 & to some degree on 4 , 5 & 6 . One & 2 are fine . Its been like that since day one . Ive asked other Ford mechanics , they dont know . There isnt a problem with the mixture , valve stem oil leaks , coolant leaks . I replaced the injectors in 96 for for an unrelated problem & the plugs still look the same after 15K miles or so . The engine runs fine , idles very smooth , no troubles at all . I would like to know what causes it too, but it doesnt seem to do any harm . So I just replace them .
