351M engine cleaning

Hi,

I have my engine torn all the way down, except for removing the crank, pistons, and cam. I removed the freeze plugs to see if there was any kind of rust build-up in there. I would like to remove all that corrosion build-up in the block, as well as all of the carbon and grease from the heads and the outside of the engine before painting.

What would be the best way to flush out the build-up, since the freeze plugs have been removed?

What would be the best way to get most of the grease and carbon build-up off the other parts?

Thanks,

Are you going to remove the crank? If so, hot tank everything after removing the crank.
