I don't believe the PTO option was available on the X. To see if you have it, look on the driver's side of the transmission. If there is a black sheet metal plate bolted to the side it has the PTO option. If not, then it doesn't. You'd need a new trans to attach a PTO to it.

Mark, since you were a Ford Transmission Engineer then why do the Ex's have so many transmission problems? I read people having trouble with the trans and I had to have my tranny replaced on my 01 Ex at 30k.

I was looking the the Real Power unit, but the Ex would require extensive work to fit one. http://www.realacpower.com/
