Speaking as a Engineer, I can honestly say that most Engineers have never seen grease or a wrench. I Manage a department of 11 that build custom equipment. I make new Engineers work in assembly to learn. Most Engineers never think about ease of maintenance, hard to reach bolts, etc... Remember every thing is easy when you are looking at the drawing on a computer screen.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but if you are referring to the truck in your signature, then they should be E7s which you can determine by pulling the valve cover and look for the letter T by itself.
E7's have a large "T" outside the valve cover in the lower front corner of the passenger side head. E6's have an "S" here. GT40P's have a "P" here. Your truck could also have the E6SE heads with the "S". Seen a few with em. Most got E7's. If you have earlier heads, you can only ID them by removing the intake and using a mirror to see the casting numbers.
