starting problem, please help

starting problem, please help

sometimes it starts fine and some times it sounds like my battery is going dead, {not the battery}. engine is definitly turning, what could it be

Why do you say it is not the battery? Is the alternator charging the battery?
Any other conditions?

battery meter is reading high and it is a new alternater. it allmost seems like a bad electrical connection.

If it does it when the engine is hot
its normal..
hotter temperture higher resistans in the wire ( ohms ) its normal
( im learning this in my class at school lol )
but if you want to be shure.. just clean the grounds... from battery to chassis chassis to engine block etc etc..

today was the first time it would'nt start at all , than 5 min later
it started like it was fine, no problems since

when it was hot? or normal temp? or cold?

if it does it again.. start by cheking the ground wires like i said in the first post

I agree, see if it does it again and check all the wires associated with the battery starter alt you could have a loose ground and /or bad battery connections. I hope your new alt is up to spec. New parts can go bad too.
