2004 F-250 Super Duty...it's "puking" again. I don't pull trailers or do any heavy heauling with this truck. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Ford had a problem with the torquing on the head bolts on this engine and that compression is leaking into the coolant system...which forces coolant out of the overflow reservoir. I think Ford's answer was to simply lower the minimum coolant level in the overflow reservoir.
My trucks "puking" again and my heat doesn't work properly. Every time I come to a read light, at idle, the heat dies down and she starts blowing cold air. I brought the coolant level back up again by adding almost 8 quarts of coolant (and this only brought it up to the minimum line) and the heat improved, but then she puked again and the heat is minimal once again.
Do I insist my Ford Dealer put new head bolts on this pile of crap or could it be something else?
It's funny how you complain about a problem for 3 years, the dealer can never find anything wrong, and then the millisecond you're out of warranty..PRESTO......they miraculously find the problem that YOU now have to pay for.
