i am tossing around the idea of getting a new truck. not sure if i even want to get one, but then i am not sure if i would like a reglar xlt/lariate 150 or a roush. i would like to here from the guys who are supercharged about there trucks, this would be a daily driver in all conditions (i live in new england).
i have been doing some seraching, i am more concerned with reliability than power/speed. i know the trucks are fast but i tend to keep things i buy for a long time

To help better understand the conditions you'll be running the truck under, and to better comprehend your expectations, it might be easier to answer your question if you post up some more info. Stuff like:
What do you consider a long time?
How many relatively "trouble free" miles will your vehicle have to get in order for you to be satisfied?
How will you be driving the truck?
What will you be using it for?
Under what conditions?
I'm sure you understand what one man finds acceptable for longevity might not be acceptable to someone else.
If the previous modular engine before the 3V came out are any indication, the supercharged Roush trucks will be chewing up a lot of miles for years to come.
What do you consider a long time? 10 years
How many relatively "trouble free" miles will your vehicle have to get in order for you to be satisfied? 100-150,000 with no major problems
How will you be driving the truck? daily driver
What will you be using it for? transportation mostly
Under what conditions? not sure if i understand what you mean by this one

Yeah, sorry 'bout that!! LOL!
When I asked for conditions, I meant, when you do drive it, will you be driving it long distance? Will you be towing anything? Will it be a work truck? Will you race it?
For example, like you, the answers you gave for the first three question would also be my answers. The fourth question I would also answer "transportation", but I would also include that my Lightning is also my work truck.
Under conditions, I would answer I tow a utility trailer with my L, up to 3K lbs at times (rarely), that I 1/4 mile drag it and I autocross with it.
All of that stuff I do puts more stress on the truck than just "normal" daily transportation, yet I still expect my vehicle to last, like you.
i got ya. maybe it will be used for towing once in a great while. possibly a uhaul of something of that nature. may see the bed loaded occasionaly but that wont be a regular thing. prob never gonna race it. maybe some occasional spirited drives but i dont think it wold see a track
I installed my Roush SC when I had 50K on my truck. I now have 79K on the truck. I have not had any problems and I use mine as a daily driver, tow a 6K boat, and 1/4 mile drags.
One thing that I have noticed is that I am doing more preventative maintence than normal(IE: change plugs @15K, change fuel filter 5K, oil changes 2.5K). I have been very pleased. I bought my SC used and it had 5K on it so I am now in the process of removing the blower and sending it in to have the front drive rebuilt, rotors stripped and case ported. I am on the eternal quest for the most HP from a stock block.
For what you are describing I think you will have many years of reliable service if you decide to go this route.
Was checking out your truck in your gallery and you say its a Stage 2 clone. Actually, its a Stage 1 clone. Stage 2 trucks have side skirts. Roush hasn't done well with Stage 2 trucks, they say its due to the overal height of the bed with the skirts making it unpopular.
Well I am calling it a stage 2 clone because I cant get the stage 3 badges from Roush. I dont think Roush even makes a stage 2 for the crew cabs. I believe the stage 2 is only on a supercab. I may be getting custom billet badges with the stage 3 on them. I do not represent the truck as a true Roush only as a clone.
I have all Roush parts on my wifes truck bought from Roush but because Roush didnt do the install I cant get it registered as a Roush stage 1.
I like your truck it is real nice. One day I will make the long haul to Troyers to have him extract every once of HP out of my truck.
They only sell Stage 3 badges to Roush authorized Ford dealers, for collision repair, to verifiable Roush Stage 3 trucks. That's why you can't get them. Its to prevent people from reselling non-Stage 3 trucks as Stage 3 trucks.
I have a very good relationship with folks at Roush, and even I couldn't get Stage 3 badges. I'm sticking with Stage 1 badges and put the "Supercharged" decals on the scoop. Besides, with the Stage 1 badges I surprise some people behind me.
