Difference Between A 2002 and 2003 F 150 HD
Ok i'm new to this site and trying to get some help.. Can someone from here help me. Trying to make a final decision on which year to get. Thanx

No major difference between the years. They are both supercharged with the same drivetrain, suspension, etc.
For the Lightning, some L's have Eaton stamped on them, or SVT, depending on the year of the truck, while the '02/'03 HD's have nothing stamped on them.
The '02 HD has a grey Eaton, while the '03 HD has a black Eaton, and just like the Lightning cylinder heads, the heads in the '02 and early '03 HD's have 4 spark plug thread holes, while the later model '03's have 8 threads

Thanx Man..and about the later hd's what does the 8 spark plug holes do?? But one thing that i have noticed have been the exterior with the 02 having a redish orange line starting at the front of the truck to the back turning into a flame while the 03 have a solid grayish line instead of the flame line..But right now i'm looking at a 02 in my area but its the charcoal color with the red flame..but i think i want the black 03..but anyways here a link to the seller page with the truck..let me know what you guys think..thanx

The 03 was available in solid black and also black and silver two-tone. The front valance and badges are different between a 02 and a 03.
The truck you are looking at seems a little high to me. I would also have to agree on the rims, cant beat the original wheels.

thanx guys about the hideous rims part lol..i'm young and wanting something different..i'm a freshman in college and thats all i want are rims lol.."why do you want rims on a hd for"? well when its time to go to the track i'll take them off lol..but the truck has a ecu chip and navigation and so on..stuff that would be more if i was to get the truck stock with nothing done to it.. the price of the truck is $24,000..it has the following upgrades Lowering Springs, 24" Custom Rims, Tinted Windows, Custom System, Navigation System, Custom Interior, Cold Air Intake, ECU Upgrade (chipped), Exhaust...but about the 24" rims? my buddy has a 01 red lightning on 24's..he is on this site by the way..his name is ace..but it seems like maybe the rims strain his engine because he has blown a piston two times and messed his engine up everytime at the same dyno..my question is do rims strain your engine at all? or is it just the people maybe at the dyno?
