My 2007 had a serious vibe at 85 kph, I took it to the dealer and they forced balanced the tires, they all passed, so next they checked the alignment. That was all good so they swapped tires from a new truck, and it seemed to fix it.
The dealership ordered me 4 new tires, and I have no problems.
just drove on these from Canada to Florida & back. Excellent in all respects, cold, hot, short & long hauls, fast & slow. Flat spot is a minor nuisance.
These tires really do suck! 2007 Expedition. After much complaining and Ford not able to Road Force Balance them, they replaced 3 of them. Not much difference, still vibrates the glasses off your face when you start out in the morning. Why Ford would put a tire like this on a truck is beyond me
Don't see why these Pirelli's would flat spot so easily over night....
It's not like they are bias ply tires.
I have two sets of bias ply tires that flat spot after a couple days of sitting in one spot, but the warm up and get round pretty quick.
My 08 screw came with the Scorpions 275/55/20. Had problems with 2 tires, the dealer changed them out and all was well. I wanted a taller side wall so I replaced them with goodyear 275/65/20 tires. The new goodyears ride nice and also give me the tire hieght that I wanted! I have the Scorpions if someone wants to give me $200 for them. I am in North Georgia! They have about 3000 miles on them. I hate these tires on my 06 SC. I have the same square tire feel when they are parked even for a few hours. Seems worse if I leave the truck in my gravel driveway too. ?? That's unacceptable for a tire to perform like that even if it is cold. I got stuck in my side yard in wet grass and mud that didn't reach the edge of the rap around tread. I hunt and off road performance is important.
I would never buy these tires again, at any price and I'd never recommend them either.
I have an 06 FX4 with the 20" wheels/Scorpions and I want to swap them out with the factory 18" wheels. I have a trailer that I tow out into the desert and 20" wheels with low profile tires are the last thing that I want when driving over rocks. I could never understand why ford put this kind of setup on a 4 wheel drive truck. You want more side wall with a 4 wheel drive. If anyone want to swap out to 20's and you are in Southern California let me know.
Have them on my 05 and like them wear well ride good wet traction is ok no cold here in FL so can't say about that, almost 30,000 on them rotate every 10,000
