Unhook the wire to the sender. it should either peg or drop low. then ground the lead. The gauge should do the opposite. if it does both replace the sender or you have low oil pressure. best thing would to buy a real gauge! No more guessing. The sending unit is on the passenger side on top of the HPOP reservior

The gauge has always been peged on 0 since I got the truck. I have the dash apart right now and I moved the gauge by hand to a high reading then turend the key and it droped back to zero. I did the same with the wire off the sending unit with the same results. Did the same with the wire on the sending grounded with the same results.
