What is the Explorer package?
Im looking at buying a 78 f250 with the explorer trim. What exactly came in a explorer package? Anthing for the engine or trans? Is it particularly rare or desireable? Also, could you get A/C for a 1978 truck from Ford? Thanks.

Yes you could get A/C explorer was a special package offered in the 70s that gave you options like unique colors with explorer badges and pinstriping and options like V8 engine auto tranny cruise power brakes and power steering

Would a 1978 F250 with next to no body rust with the explorer package with 140000 on the original 351M plus a rebuilt 400 with less than 30000miles on it be worth 2 grand? Oh it is 4x4 and 4 speed manual
