The title pretty much says it. I'm looking for a 32 is inch tv possibly gonna barave the crowds tomorro. but was wondering, whats the best out there, and the best for your money.
I don't know jack..but I heard somebody mention that Samsung is making the best LCD TV's Personally, I always check out Consumer Reports mag. they give fair appraisals.
Consumer Reports had a recent article on them. I hope to get a 42 inch LCD Sharpe tomorrow, if I get up early enough. If not, I will just keep using my 27 inch tube until next year.
One other thing about plasma is that they produce a lot of heat, so if you are going to have it in a low air flow areas keep this in mind.
I agree with Jimdandy....CR is not always right on as they often look at recall/replacement/return data and knowing how people use and abuse things it can get skewed.
I hope you had better luck than I did. The store opened at 5:00 AM & the line went all the way around to back of it. I joined the line at the dumpster out back. I got inside at 5:20 & joined another line for TV's until 6:05 when they announced that the last one was sold. I was about 20 back & was the only one that left the line.
Here's reputable ratings i subscribe to. All HD digital widescreen. BIGger is BETter for sure, make room for it. If viewing from >12 feet away, 50" is needed. I got a Pan 50" plasma and bought Mom a Samsung 37" LCD, her max allowable size. Both companies have plants in Texas and one other state i forget, and assembly warehouses here. Contrast (blacks) are better on Plasma; Colors are often crisper on LCD. LCD viewing angles are now usually as good as on Plasma sets.
I bought a Vizio from Walmart a few months ago. It's a 32" model they had for under $500. Bought a surround sound system at the same time. WE love both of them. I guess size is important for the size of theroom. In our tv room a 40" tv would be too big.
