the stock tires are 32"...so 33" will fit just fine
you can fit 35" tires with a 2.5" leveling kit
oh, I just noticed you were 2wd...you might want to get a leveling kit first. you'll need other 4x2 guys to chime in. the above stuff is true for a 4x4
tylus, are you sure 305s will fit on a stock 4x4? I thought 285 was the biggest without rubbing.
I wouldn't try to go bigger than 285s on a 2wd anyway.....What good is it going to do you(just curious, but do what you want it's your $$$).
Big tires = less mpgs, more money, slow acceleration, decreased towing, and for a 2wd, the ground cleance you get doesn't help, b/c the trucks 2wd.
I've got a 4x2 and I changed the above to 265/70/17s. To me, without a leveling kit, these fit the best and look the best. I went with Michellin LTX M/S but there are numerous other makes that look great. Makes my truck look and drive 10x better than those small tires put on from the factory.
i have a 2007 f-150 2wd...stock tires are 255/70/17...without a lift i should be able to put 32/12.5/17 without any problem.?....i like the more aggressive lookin tire...any suggestions without a lift....im lookin for the beefer tire....that will still run on pavement . .what do the 285"s convert to?

There is a chance they'd fit on a 2wd, but a 265/70R17 measures out to about 31.8"x10.5" depending on the tire, and that'd fit pretty good without rubbing.
^ that link is a great utility when deciding on tires.
hey MBB, yes. depending on your rims, you may get some rubbage. but the majority will not rub. I test fit 35x12.5x18 on my truck and they fit without rubbing. every trucks a little different, but I'd say 95% will be fine
