I Need help please - I have a 66 F500 dump truck with 20" 6 lug widow makers on it. I want to go with a tubeless solid rim. Can I go with a 22.5? And can it be found in 6 lug bolt pattern. Also how tall are 22.5 tires. My 20" are 40" tall. Will they fit. Widow Makers kill and they got to go!!!! THANKS
Some others here have mentioned that some of the imports have six lug patterns so it's possible that Les Schwab or another tire store may be able to find them.
Howdy rusty body,
welcome to the FTE site, you mentioned that you are looking for some 6 hole budd 22.5 wheels. i have about 16 of them, the only thing is that i see you are in PA, and i am in CALIF, if you are interested i can weigh one and see what it would cost to ship 6 or 7 of them maybe through greyhound ?? but you might be able to find them in your area since they are not rare, I know they used them a lot on U haul trucks from the 70's.

Ford offered a 19.5" x 6" 6 lug 8.50 bolt circle non split rim in the 1970's for tubeless tires, but I could find no 20's listed without the split rims.
Thanks for the information Gentlemen - My bolt pattern is 6 lug 8 3/4 bolt circle 6 1/2 center bore. All 20" rims are split. I am thinking of going with a 22.5 but not sure if they will be to big to fit under my 66 F500 dump. My 20" tires are 39 1/2 tall. And also not sure if 22.5 rims will fit over my drums. Junk yards in my area never heard of 22.5 6 lug only 10 lug. I would also go with a 19.5 if they can be found in my bolt pattern. Has anybody ever done this kind of swap before? THANKS and Happy THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!
rusty body I dont think you will have a problem with height under your fenders, and they will fit your drum fine. I have some size 8-22.5 tires mounted up already i will measure how tall they are tomorrow to give you an idea, what are your tire size 8.25 20, 9.00 20, ??

Clearance should be no problemo since the same F500/750 front fenders are used with either 17, 18, 19, 20, and 22 inch rims.
