I am putting together a contest for my sales staff for the month of December and have decided one of the prizes will be a portable GPS Navigation System. My sales staff is 95% non-tech-savvy, so I need something that is easy to use but has good features.
Monsta...I think Garmin is the Gold standard (they introduced the whole portable car-mount GPS concept). Very good features for a reasonable price, your $300 per unit should not be a problem.
While I have no experieince with Tom Tom, I do have a Garmin, and would recommend them to anyone.
BTW...great idea for a sales staff giveaway!! But how can you get lost on a friggin' ISLAND???? Drive too far and you hit the ocean. Turn around...if you hit the ocean again, turn right. If you hit the ocean AGAIN...turn around. Keep going in tighter circles...you'll get there eventually.
I don't know a lot about them but one of my best friends got a Tom Tom for his work truck and he knows how to use it and I am talking about a guy that can't work a microwave oven let alone a gps or a computer so it has to be pretty easy to use.
Friend of mine just bought a Garmin last weekend. He loves it. I got to play with it for a little bit, and it's very nice. Price was $399 for his....not sure what model or where he got it from though. I'd consider one when they are down to $100 But, Im cheap like that
