Tip on air in return lines
Tip on air in return lines
A local machine shop gave me a tip that he says helped a few people he knows with air leaking into the return lines. I have not tryed it yet so i dont know if it works. He said if you cap off the return line at the #1 cyl injector that goes to the filter air will not be circulated back to the IP, instead it will just go back to the tank. It also must be capped off at the filter.
Does anyone know if this is true?
Thanks
Kevin

There is a check valve that keeps any air in the return lines from returning to the filter. My understanding is that if the check valve is bad *and* you have an air leak in the lines, then the filter will empty out making it even more difficult to start. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
