300 back?

haven't heard anything bout it but I hope they do. I hope that they also reinstate the 351.
my only thought are "will the 300 fit into the engine compartment on the newer f-150's"?

that is a good idea Vampiro. putting a 300 in them might just be worth a few dents and dings in the hood-fender-firewall...

Hopefully this means they will restyle (or perhaps I should better say "unstyle") the F150 to give it a more agressive, taller hood and grille. If it were up to me, the current F150 would be renamed the SportTruck and a light duty F150 would be offered with the SuperDuty body.

INLINE SIX POWER!
300 Cubic Inches of Low RPM Truck Torque! And twin-I-beams too!

Why would they bring the 300 back? It is 38+ year old technology with efi thrown in. Its been the bottom-of-the-barrel motor for its 31 years of automotive life. If they were to come out with an inline 6, I would imagine it would be a completely new full-tilt inline like the Chevy 4200. 256cid, 270hp, 270ft-lbs.

Why would they bring it back you ask?

Simple answer its indestructible. The only reason they should not bring it back is for job security...
