Thanks for refreshing my memory with the link. IMHO you might be better off to find another motor or a short block to build. I think you should be able to find a good shortblock for the price of boring and repairing your current block. I'm still of the opinion that it has a bent connecting rod caused by hydrolocking. Just a guess, but it definitely happens. Let us know how it goes.
