Hello,
I have a 1997 f250 with the 7.5l 460. I was driving down the road and hit a small pot hole and truck started sputtering. Was able to limp it home where I have ran several checks on it. Here's what I know.
-good spark to all 8 plugs
-raw gas is dripping from tailpipe and exhaust manifold.
-I have gas in my engine oil
-my engine is running on 4 cylinders(1,4,5,&8 only)
-I have tested the fuel injectors and only cylinders 1,4,5,& 8 are pulsing
-In moving the injector wire connector from the good injector on cylinder 1 to the not working injector on cylinder 2 it made cylinder 2 active. which tells me the injectors are good but the electrical circuit could not be.
What I think I can conclude
The injector circuit for cylinders 2,3,6, & 7 is not completing to close the circuit for pulsing the injectors on these cylinders only.???
or I have a short in the wiring???
or bad PCM???
Can any one help me with further diagnosis pointers?? I'm stuck in a rut on this one. Thanks.
These are bank / batch fired injectors. For what ever reason you have lost the ground for the other half. Check the connectors for loose or corroded connections. Or the PCM took a dump.

Thanks for the help Wtroger. I checked the wiring at the injector plugs with the pcm plugged in and both wires of each injectors where reading 12v. Unplugged the pcm and no 12v to both wires. So I had to be the pcm. I changed it out and she runs like a champ! Thanks again!
