ac psi

i am putting train horns on my truck and i have a tank that is rated at 200psi what kind of psi comes from the ac compressor and would it be wise to use it?

I dont believe the ac compressor runs that high. Even if it would, you would be sucking air with no oil. Dont think it would last long that way. Interestine idea though. If it would work, it could be used for airing tires and powering airtools also.

don't do it off of the current compressor. Inlet side is around 40ish psi and exit side is about 220. If you want to run air horn, buy a belt driven compressor and go that route. There is not enough air volume movement to create the kind of pressure that you are looking for without burning out the pump.
