Hey Morris!

Since Chris and Ryan are stepping up their Flathead engines with dual carbs. I figured you better one up them on the '56 M-100. Hows this?

Oh Sherm they do make a 302 to 351W intake adapter so you could run it on the 1983!

Don't mean to butt in, but I am planning on a 4 barrell 390cfm Holley. (just to clarrify)
That would be cool but at least on Flatheads better performance and reliablity (mainly reliability) are found with a single 4 barrell. But mmultiple carbs looks 10x at least cooler and classical. go for it!

Now I`m planning on the 56 M100 being mostly stock with the Y-Block.
The 53 M100 gets the frame clip and the 302/351/?.

Thats does make ALOT more sense then having the 53 with the Yblock and 56 with 302, atleast now one is stock.

Sherm you have to remember that most small 2V carbs are around 200 cfm to 250 cfm. So you could still have 600-750 cfm on your 351W.

Very cool indeed. What was the price on that intake Nathan?

I also wonder how hard it would be to set up the three two barrels...

But there are also 2 barrell carbs up to 500 cfm

Put 3 of those bad boys on be using a garden hose for a fuel line.

Ya but those 500 cfm ones are gas pigs. The venturies get so big you loose port velocity and efficiency.

As far as setting up the 3 carbs, it depends on your throttle linkage. The easiest would be to run the engine on a dyno and monitor the A/F mixture. You would most likely have to change settings many times till it was dialed in.

wouldn't it be quite a pain in the *** for the ordinary joe to get them all running right?? how would they work?? all pumping at once, or cutting in at certain throttle pressures??

My thoughs too.
I need to find decent rocker arm assemblies, mine aren`t good. Other wise the 56 may have go FE.
