help, cold running problem

my 97 is having a wierd problem, when it is cold (around 40 or less) my truck will start and run fine untill i get about half a mile down the road, the it starts acting like it is running out of fuel for 2-3 mins then it comes out of it and is fine. very aggrevating. ive changed the fuel filter, drained the bowl and tried diesel 911. what is my problem?

Try unplugging the EBPV to see if it is acting up.

the epbv is under the turbo... it's a two-wire connector (beat ya to it tim!!)
