I have a 1999 F350 and though the visors "look" alike, the 1999 has a smaller bar that runs through it. The 2003 has a fat bar that runs through it. the screw base on the hinge side is what is broke. Since they look alike do you think I could use the one with the smaller bar?

As far as I know all 99-07 Super Duty and 99-05 Excursion visors are interchangeable. However, you need to make sure to find out what your interior color is, as some colors were only offered in certain years.
Also, Blackhat620 I think your post may be a little confusing. In 99 there was actually two different trucks that were called an F250, not and early and a late model (well actually there was but it was minor suspension differences, not body style).
As far as I know the old body style F250 was only produced until early 1996 (when the F150 and F250 Light Duty came out). There was no 1998 F250 other than the F250 light duty. The F250 Light Duty that shared the same body style as the F150 at that time (it was actually available in 97, 98, 99, and 00 I believe). It had seven lug wheels and a beefed up suspension/drivetrain. In 2001 I beleive it was changed to the F150 Heavy Service package, to help solve confusion about 2 different F250 models. This body style had minor changes in styling in 99, and 2001, then was completely remodelled for the 2004 model.
In early 1998 Ford introduced the F250 and F350 Super Duty as a 1999 model. That body style remained relatively unchanged until early 2007 with the release of the 2008 Super Duty. There were minor suspension changes in early 99 (which is often referred to as a 99.5 truck). There were changes to the grill and headlights along with minor interior changes in 2002 and 2005.
