rubbing alcohol will help pass E-check?

I don't know about the e check, but rubbing alcohol will help reduce the effects of condensation in your fuel tank. Water and gas don't mix, but alcohol mixes with both so it will dry up a wet tank.

ohio's e-check is nothing to worry about.

do a basic tuneup and drive to get cats hot and it should pass.

now in california you may have trouble but not in ohio.

also, e-check is free in ohio now thanks to cigarette smokers.

One of my techs use to run a E-station in Calif. He said that it would work in some cases. He said on some vehicles that should have passed but didn't, they would start them up and add methanol and take them out on the freeway blow them out good then bring them back in then they would pass. He said the alcohol would help knock the deposits out of the combustion chambers and change the fuel chemistry enough to lower the emmisions to get a passing readout.
