e40d ...where is the shift kit located?
I have an e40d transmission in my '91 E150.It shifts erratically.I have a feeling it's the shift kit.I'm a backyard mechanic with very limited transmission knowledge.Is the shift kit located where I can get to it easily when I drop the pan?anyone have a diagram?

A shift kit is a collection of PARTS that modify the stock valve body to change the stock mechanical or hydraulic behavior.
Erratic shifting may be due to faulty external inputs to the transmission, electrical control faults, or due to wear and tear to the itransmission's internals.
