I am bringing my first Bronco home Saturday. I have a few questions about the trim/equipment codes on the VIN label. I need to decode mine.
First, it is a 1993 Bronco Eddie Bauer. Also, it is dark blue with tan trim at the bottom. The fiberglass cap is also blue. I thought all EB's were tan? Doesn't look like it has been painted, but not sure.
Here are the codes:
Date:6/92
Paint: MX DB
WB:105
Brake:U152
Body: WK
Trans:E
Axle:H9
Tape:0
Springs:B42
The blue top is odd for an EB. But not beyond the realm of possibility. Interesting that there is a "0" under tape since it should indicate the EB striping as well. Might have been custom ordered with the equipment but not the paint.
Stripe? I don't think it has a stripe either....Is this the stripe along the body crease up high? It has a tape stripe between the blue and tan down low. I'm pretty sure it's an Eddie Bauer. It has the emblems, seats, dash trim, etc. Will look at it some more tomorrow. Thanks!
