hello everyone. ive got myself a 52 f1 project. basically took over someone elses project. i plan on taking it in my own direction. below is a pic ( not most recent, since then ive painted the frame with rustoleum hammered ) it needs a lot of work currently has a non-running 351c/ fmx. im pulling that combo out and dropping in an 87 302/t5 donor. im doing most of the work myself. this is my first project so i need all the advice i could get. i look forward to gaining knowledge and sharing any that i have. thanks
Looks VERY solid on the front fenders! Where are you? (see "Where are you?" thread on this forum) California I'd bet. The grille sure looks different without teeth.
thank you. body has usual rust spots. passenger side door is dented when the a-hole flatbed driver didnt secure the door shut it opened on the highway and smacked the front fender.
Nice looking truck should be a fun project. I'm just getting to my frame this weekend and will be using the rustoleum 'hammered' paint as well. I think that stuff is awesome.

misfit - by the sounds of it you will fit in just great here. There are a few guys on here that are a wealth of knowledge (I'm not one of them, but I am not afraid to share my opinions and ideas). I myself have learned so much from these folks since I joined the site. In fact I thought the reference to hammered was more to do with your condition at the time of application rather than the product itself....See just learned something again....its too easy.
Looks like you got a good foundation there and I hope you enjoy your build. Too bad 'bout the door and fender tho...
Misfit, you are off to a very good start. There are many projects out there that can be had for a fraction of the cost of starting from scratch. By buying someone else's project you may have just saved yourself a few years of work.
If you post your wants in the classifieds of this site, there are many who will have parts you need at lower prices than you will see on Ebay. A lot of the members will even give things away to fellow members just to get them out from under foot. Good luck, Jag
