Hello,
I have a new to me 2003 F250 SD with spring code XA, which I understand is the snow plow package. The rear of the truck sits lower than the front. What options do I have to level it out. I know, it sounds wierd that I need to level the truck because the rear is too low. Most have the opposite problem.
Is ordering a set of Code B rear springs my best bet?
I think the only difference is that the B code springs don't have the auxiliary springs. How many leaves do you have on the front axle? If you bought it used, it is common for previous owners to have them upgraded if there was a plow. I've had two trucks like this. Not sure why the rear would be lower unless something sagged, or broke. Without new springs, you could get the 4 inch blocks if you already have the 2 inch blocks.
It doesn't sound strange to me...I have same X code on my 2001. I used a 2.5" add a leaf all the way around...and the truck sits pretty level now, may still be a tad high in the front, but not as much as before.
They say the add a leaf adds 1.5 to 2.5...so maybe it was on the high side for the rear and low side on the front??
