Is there any way to order a wide front axle for a 2008 350 V10?

For real! Just an empty housing for my 02 rear axle was $2000 or $2500!! Whatever it was pricey. Can't imagine a whole axle!

From the Build your own site at www.fordvehicles.com it appears that the widetrack front axle option requires you to get the 6.4L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel engine.
