I see alot of trucks with Caterpillar license plates on them,What is on the ford trucks that was made by caterpillar and what years?
Short answer is nothing. long answer is that Cat and International share the same HEUI technology for the injectors. Hydralically actuated Electronicaly controlled Unitized Injector. A bunch of words for an injector that uses a computer to control it and a seperate high pressure oil system to intensify a lower pressure fuel stream(into the injector)
F650's have the CAT 7.2 in them well it is one option the other is the 5.9 cummins thats what our work F650 dump got mainly because I work for the city and Columbus is the birth place of cummins.
Do a search for F650 or F750 - you'll find a couple different Cat motors were used in those, varying by year. Yes, the Cummins was another option as well as the 7.3L PowerStroke. Kind of funny when you think about it. Ford truck with an International, Cummins, or Cat motor...
We have a couple F700 flat-beds (the older version of the 750) with the Cummins in them at my Air Guard unit.
The newer 2 1/2 ton & 5 ton tactical trucks have Cats in them, FWIW.
Kind of funny when you think about it. Ford truck with an International, Cummins, or Cat motor...
don't know whay that would seam funny, since the '60s ford has used a variety of engines in their class 6,7 & 8 trucks, but don't ever remember a "corn binder" as one

Izzy, have you driven the MTVR (7-ton) with the C-12? Sweet machine!
No, but just recently one of my co-workers out here in a classified sandy location got a Stewart-Stevenson with Cat 3126 stuck, then got the below (Hemet) stuck trying to get it out.
Those look sweet, a man could accomplish a lot with one in his fleet! If Bill Gates were to find me and say "I'll give you either a Ferrari or a 7-Ton," I'd say "7-Ton!"
