Engine Swap

I have an 83 f 150 pickup with a 302 in it. It's an automatic and runs just fine but I am interested in building a 460. Can a 460 fit in to this truck and if so what other issues will arise from this?

The 460 will fit but you would need a new trans ,motor mounts, Y pipe or headers and maybe some other stuff.

Oh and a flywheel/flex plate for the 460

can anyone give more detail on motor mounts, and trans mounts? which ones? what other models they fit?

As for the trans mount it matters what trans you use.
