Your lights are just like mine. I agree, they look great and they're bright at night. People have complimented me on them. They like how the F150 looks with them.
yea they actually offered a "HID" option with these, I opted out as they are plenty bright with the suplied bulbs and I imagine if I put some better bulbs in it will be even better.
I just want to make sure the beam pattern will be right if using HID lights...I bought a set of HID lights and the beam is out of focus in the stock headlamp housing. I have been looking for a set of projectors that are made to work with HID...the ones I am finding say not to use HID in them...not sure why you can't?? unless they won't focus the light also.
Do those projectors have two bulbs one for the highbeam and one for the low beam?
yea they have a 2 bulbs for the lights, the low beams are concentrated pretty much in front of the truck while the highs are everywhere!! I mean a serious flood of light in front, I wish both lights would stay on when on bright.
well I got them! got a slightly differnt version then the ones I posted up of,
put them in, I forgot like a dummy that the 97-98 models have a differnt header panel so I had to goto the jumkyard and pirate a few newer style headlight retainer clips, got them halfway adjusted never seems like there is enouth time in the day to finish everything, and holy cow! are they bright!! I love them! makes driving at night almost enjoyable!! worth getting a pair deffinitly!!
hey guys.. i started another thread a couple hours ago, but haven't had any reponses yet... do i need a newer header panel for mine to fit right too. i have a 97 f-150... my lights came in today and i only had about 45 minutes to play with them but i couldn't get them to sit flush on the ends by the turn signal... i was thinking i need to cut some plastic there.... HELP...
i want to get them in tommorrow morning. maybe even tonight when i get home... they'll be easier to adjust in the dark.. but probably not to actually put in.
Also... there is the "simple plug and play" but off of that there is a relay and another red power wire coming from there.... what is that power wire for?
everything seemed to work just fine without it... i don't know why it's there.

ok settle down I have a 97 as well, you will have to have the newer headlight retaining clips to hold the light in , it will in fact work with the older style headerpanel just alittle tweaking here and there, I just stoped by my local junk yard and bogarted me the headlight clips for mine.
there are to sets of extra wires one set for the hao rings around the projectors and the other set for the leds at the bottom of the light
they don't have leds at the bottom, just little chrome pieces that look like led's. there is the main plug... a set of wires for the halo's and thats it... but off of the plug a wire comes out goes to a relay then there is a red power wire coming from that... and i have no clue what it does. everything lights up fine with just the standard plug.
and whats the difference between the 2 clips... mine seemed to clip in fine... but over at the end near the turn bulb they stick way out..... they are way deeper than the factory turn signal housing...
