yeah they are a decent bright....you do have to get used to the projected beam though its not an area light like the stock headlights. but i think if you upgrade to 5900k bulbs from 4000k you will notice a big difference. there is always the HID upgrade too but that is so expensive when you can find white halogen bulbs that are just as bright
Also, when the LEDS on the bottom of the lites light up, they make a neat ghostly halo when you shine them on a wall. The angel eyes also help make that effect. It's cool. I used the standard ones in the kit because the blue ones were too much wattage and I didn't want to melt my wires and light switch and catch my beloved truck on fire.
I'm planning on getting a black grille guard to protect them from getting whacked by deer on the road. I've had a couple close calls with them at night. Alot of them are on the road and sometimes they come out of no where. The headlights cost me a lot of money and I want to protect my investment and my truck!
i dont think i am going to replace my bulbs either.....when we pluggged my lights in, everything worked great. we tucked all the wires and mounted them and when we turned the lights back on, only one of the low beams was out. we figured it was the bulb but after checking it, the bulb was fine. we also plugged in my old headlight just to be sure and it also didnt work. we shorted something somewhere and its gonna require more time and knowledge than i have. kind of disappointing but things will be great once both low beams turn on.
I have a set of black ones thought they would go good with my truck they didnt so i took them off and put my stock ones on. If any one is interested in buying some for $130.00 e-mail me at p.cartwright@runnels.org. Here is a link so get a better desciption and picture of them. http://www.louisianasportsman.com/cl...#pictures56598 .
No i dont have any pics but my truck was lifted and they were alittle to shiny it didnt realy go with the bad look of my truck also i never could get them to fit flush with the rest of the front end.
the problem is getting fixed today at a local 4wd shop. the lights are very shiny but i keep my truck waxed and polished, my rims shine beautifully, etc. and the lights beautified it even more over the stock foggy plastic crap. be very prepared for a new look to your truck, and like paul, we had a heck of a time getting them mounted and sitting flush with the grille, but we did do it.
hey do you have a pic now? I just ordered mine finally, it was hard to decide what light I wanted and since I needed new lights for another car of mine I went with a company that combines the shipping and got them silly cheap, I can wait to get them!
sorry i dont have a pic....they look sweet tho and i got the projector fog lights in to complete the look. i love how they light up at night and i love how they look during the day. i also put 10000k blue xenons in my high beams and its like white sunlight. i recommend them if ur ready for alot of time and work.....they are worth it to me

inlighten me on this "alot of time and work" O' DJ!!!
i dont know if you have ever removed your headlights before....its pretty easy. putting them back in is a different story, however. To get the 3 pins lined up is a work of art and adjusting the set screws properly (so the lights sit flush with the grille) is almost a miracle. I am somewhat a perfectionist and even I gave up on mounting them perfectly. Also, on the light itself, make sure the bulbs are soldered into place because if they are not aimed properly, your beam could be pointing sideways like mine. that about completes my overview....if you have any other detailed questions feel free to ask! i didnt even start on the foglight business...
yea Ive been in the body shop business since I was 15 and I still customize rides, so I think I can get the fit ment down especially when I have to deal with super cheap aftermarket products all the time any way!! I cant wait to get them!
oh well if you have been doin this stuff for a while then maybe you'll be better at it....i never even cared how my lights came out til i ordered the new ones.....18 yrs old, young and dumb i guess you'd say. best of luck to ya....a good purchase i think
well I got them! got a slightly differnt version then the ones I posted up of,
put them in, I forgot like a dummy that the 97-98 models have a differnt header panel so I had to goto the jumkyard and pirate a few newer style headlight retainer clips, got them halfway adjusted never seems like there is enouth time in the day to finish everything, and holy cow! are they bright!! I love them! makes driving at night almost enjoyable!! worth getting a pair deffinitly!!
