the colts might have had some injuries but they still had manning! and he still threw 6 interceptions, that had nothing to do with anyone but him, and vinateri wiffing that field goal was proof God is a chargers fan!
The Colts offense is based on timing. When your regular receivers aren't on the field, the backups tend to take a few games to adjust to the timing. Also, a few of the o-line starters are injured, so he probably wasn't getting the amount of time he was used to in the pocket. The Colts are very much a TEAM that relies on everyone doing their part. If someone doesn't (like the backups), then others may not be able to do theirs. Historically, very few teams have done well when roughly a half-dozen of their top players (1st and second stringers) are injured and not playing.
I'm not making excuses for the Colts here, it's just the reality of their situation. They've overcome this type of thing before, but their odds of winning games right now are lessened.
Manning is potient WITH weapons around him, take a few away and he is...well...average. There whole offense a well timed organized machine, disrupt it and it fails......he has a hard time improvising like other QB's such as Brady, Romo, and Favre.
Yeah the Chargers rule. They are 5 and 4 in a bad division, and only 1 road win. Also firring your head coach after a 14 and 2 season and hiring a sub 500 head coach was awesome. Great franchise there.
You also have to admit that Manning's pass accuracy is among the best of the best. No matter the players around him, he can put that ball in some pretty tight spots with a high degree of consistency. I'll take that any day over Favre's approach of slinging it down field and hoping his guy gets it

Yeah, well, ownership has its advantages, too. You don't get along with the coach? No problem, we'll let him go and hire a substandard coach. Look at the success of the Cowboys with our Def Coord at the helm there... too bad the Chargers didn't hire Wade Philips to run the whole team.
Also, don't forget that the Colts were 13-0 two years ago when they ran into the Chargers buzzsaw! What a massacre that was!!
see it all comes back to the fact that.... THE CHARGERS RULE yall just dont like to see a team like the Chargers beat up on a dynasty team! You guys go making excusses that the poor little colts were beat up and they couldnt play well cuz they are a team, but the chargers had jammer out, and it prolly did some good cuz crowmartie was almost a god out there, i think we can all agree that it was a great game and the chargers are currently the best in the AFC and are going to win the superbowl !!
