My left ear is completely deaf. Zero hearing. So I have to hold the phone to my right ear only,
Also it is common for me to get calls while I'm driving and so the bluetooth "implant" allows hands free and comfortable phone use that I wouldn't otherwise have.
You mean you completely plug up your one good ear with a phone while you are driving? No wonder you can't hear me honking at you about your distracted driving.
I have a LG Chocolate. It has a bunch of the useless crap that you are talking about bdox.
I actually find myself playing around with the useless crap on it alot. I use the internet all the time to access an online phone listing when I need a phone number. The games I play from time to time when I am waiting in the doctors office, or waiting for a meal to arrive.
My mind tends to wander though, so maybe thats why I like having those useless features.

Well it's evident that you are not familiar with the technology of these ear pieces mr. holier than thou. They really do NOT impair your hearing of other sound enough that you even notice. And secondly what you display your ignorance of is my driving.
I also hate all the gadgets these things come with...and yeah, Im still young.
I have a fairly new LG8300. MP3 player, v-cast, bluetooth, internet, and probably a dozen other things that I don't know about...
I use it for calling/receiving calls, taking pictures when my other camera is not around, and for text messages when I can't call them for some reason. That is it.
I remember when the star tac was top of the line. No frills is right. I never had one of them though, I had old school. The Motorola 555, the original flip phone. Biggest feature on it was a 30 number memory, and you had to actually know the number you wanted to dial (no alpha-numeric) so you could scroll through them.
I want a simple phone, I tried all the "cool" stuff and its annoying. All it does is make me mad and cost more money. I want a ringtone that is loud so I can hear it, address book and thats it. I have many features on my cell that I hate, the only one I like is the big numbers on the screen so that I dont need a watch.
And the part I hate the most, is side actavation to things. I'm constanly having to exit what ever was actavated while in my purse, all that just to call some one or even to check the time.
Simplest cell in verizon network???? have to stay with verizon, so I can talk free with the family.
