Jerking in rearend when accelerating
I just purchased a 2004 F150 supercrew automatic transmission. While driving above 48mph in highest gear if you let up on accelerator and start to coast then begin to accelerate again the truck jerks hard/thunks and you can almost hear it as well. Doesn't seem to do it at any slower speeds. Any ideas? Thanks.

my 04 had done that before
you may try having the dealer update ( flash) the latest engine calibration . seems that after the latest one. mine has not done it.
not sure if they will flash for free though, unless you might still be under warranty. but if you just bought it from them. ask them to do the latest flash for you.
these engines ( including throttle) are all controlled by electronics. no cable from gas pedal to throttle body anymore. just wires and "smart" computers.
