I have an 07 F-350 KR CC I am having with problems with an irregular fuel pressure gauge. I took it into the service dept and explained how it shoots up 3/4 tank on start up when it only has a quarter then drops down to where its supposed to sometime. Then I have seen it rise back to 3/4 full stay there for awhile and drop back down. Service manager says I should put a fuel conditioner from Chevron in there to clean the fuel card . I think its a crock of crap .Its either the sending unit or the gauge anybody else had this?

Well your tech is being honest with you, here is and FMC Broadcast Message:
"19098 Multiple Vehicles - Sulfur Build-up On Fuel Level Sensor - Add "chevron Techron Plus Fuel System Cleaner" To Fuel And Fill With Fresh Fuel
Gasoline Or Diesel Vehicles May Exhibit Erratic Fuel Gauge Readings, Illuminated Mil, And Dtc P0463, P2068 And/or B1202, B2627 May Be Present. This Condition May Occur Due To Sulfur Contamination Found In Some Local Fuels Which May Cause Temporary Contamination Of The Fuel Sender Card. Before Replacing Any Component, Clear Dtc's, Drain Fuel Tank (if Facilities Permit), Add Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner And Advise Customer To Use An Alternate Brand Of Fuel. The Condition Should Correct Itself In A Few Miles. Advise Customers To Utilize The Trip Odometer To Monitor Fuel Consumption. Replacement Of Components Or Pcm Reprogramming May Not Fix The Concern. If Concern Persists Perform Normal Diagnosis And Repair. Obtain The New Techron Plus Fuel Additive Locally From Your Local Automotive Chemical Supply Source Or Auto Parts Store.

You may want to change fuel suppliers. How many miles on your truck?
holy s@#t blackhat, where do you get all this info? and how the heck do you remember it?/?
One of the diesel techs i know on another site posted this about a week ago. I save this kind of info in a folder on my computer, in case i need it for my truck in the future. But if i can share it with others in need i do. Also been following the 6.0 since it came out and have always turned wrenches on automobiles. Used to restore & collect antique cars, now restore & collect antique tractors, so finding and remebering this kind of information is very useful.
I have the same problem on my 2006 6.0 12,000 miles. Took my truck to a dealer 3 times for a low fuel check engine light. The first time they looked it over and reset the check engine light, half-way home [10 miles] the fuel guage bottoms out and the light returns. Two days later return to dealer for sender unit replacement. I was told a new unit was installed, 2 days later fuel guage crashes again. Now i'm mad, call dealer for my third appointment. I am told my professionally installed Viper car alarm-starter is the problem. I had the alarm looked at by another installer, who just happens to own a 2006 H-D 6.0. He said it was fine and that he has installed the same unit on his truck and at least 2 dozen other 6.0's with no problems. I use fresh fuel at a Velero station in New Jersey on the border with NY and PA, the price averages 30 cents a gallon cheaper in NJ so the station is very busy [fresh fuel]. I may have gotten bad fuel in her on a fishing trip to Oneida Lake, the problem started 3 days after fill-up. I have used Power Service Treatment at the regular dosage since new. I switched to Opti-Lube XPD 2 tank-fulls ago, the first tank-full the fuel guage moved all over the range. The second tank-full [current] the guage is working perfect. I have not reset the check engine light yet, so it may be premature but I just might be sold on this Opti-Lube stuff. Sorry for the long winded response but I wanted to cover all the bases...

the tech is right, have you read the above TSB for this concern?? the aftermarket alarms and remote starters can cause this, of course the guy that installed it is going to say it works fine because I am sure it does. it alos affects the way the ICM reads the leveling sensors resistance depending on where he wired it into. Try removing it all together and see if your concern goes away, also the fuel from some statiosn will cause this as well Ford recommends adding Chevron cleaner to you tank and runs it though to see it if will clean off the Leveling sensor. Ask your dealer for the old parts, they shoul dhave saved it because we save all warranty parts in canse Ford calls them back for warranty inspection. It is possible to have a harness w/ a green wire or high resistance. In this system the circuit reads the sensors resistance from the leveling sensor as an imput to the ICM and then the ICM is the infered input to the PCM and is where your DTC may be stored as a memory code.
The sevice manager of the dealership gave me a print-out of the letter from Ford about the alarm issue. The alarm installer knew exactly which wires not to mess with, from a letter they were send by Directed Electronics months before the install. This problem happened 6 months after the alarm install. Just filled tank today $111 OUCH, guage is fine so far.
