Finally, after weeks of ''thinking'' about it - I've taken a truck off a buddy's hands. 77 F-150, 2wd, 302. Before pictures are in my gallery. I am sure over the next year(s) I will be coming to you guys with all sorts of questions. I LOVE THIS SITE!!!
Question #1 - who is the best part supplier for trucks of this era? LMC seems pricey and the junk yards around me don't have much...

I will be certain to update!
Look on this page for links to: Blue Oval Truck Parts, Mac's, Auto-Krafters, MAR-K and National Parts Depot.
Other sources: hemmings.com, Dennis Carpenter, Carolina Classics. There are dozens more including Ford Motor Co., which still carries some parts for these trucks.

Looks like it going to be a good build. What kind of parts are you looking for? There are a couple of yards up in Carroll County that have a few old 76-79 trucks sitting around. Good luck with the truck. Also may want to try Obsolete Ford/ Carolina Classics for parts. Also, You may want to try going to Spring Carlisle in April, Lots of good parts for these trucks. www.carsatcarlisle.com

The sheet metal looks pretty straight, has it already been redone? Goodluck on the project...take your time and enjoy the ride, these 73-79's are fun to work on and there are plenty of parts available.

Looking for front and rear bumper, grill, marker lamps, interior pieces. I was at Petry's or Yuenglings, same difference - met the guys. Did not look around in the rain though.

Truck came up from Georgia 11 years ago, has sat still in a yard for 4 years. To my knowledge it has not had any body work. Engine/Tranny replaced, everything else is stock. I can't wait to get my hands dirty!
Obstacle #1 - master cylinder. Brakes are not existent for the most part...
Are you looking for a rear step bumper or the smooth bumper, I personally like the smooth one on the 2wd, looks clean. Are you going for a street look or mild custom, either would look badass. I'll keep my eyes open for some parts for you.
I'm thinking about the smooth bumper, I too think that look fits the lower 2wd truck. I'm going for a clean line, street look. Thinking white, diamond plate - that sort of idea???
for the kind of parts youre looking for you could go to jcwhitney.com... they have good prices and decent selection... just dont get mechanical parts from them.
Spent 6 hours stripping everything from the engine block, hood, bumber, grill. rear brakes are apart as they need repair. The project is underway and there's no turning back now!!
