I have a pro comp leveling kit on my 2004 F150 and am thinking about getting HId lights for both headlight and fog lights. Does anyone have this currently? I feel like i would really blind people in front of me in traffic.

You would blind oncoming traffic, and people in front of you. HID kits in stock headlight housing is dangerous.
Basically all of these kits are HID capsules fitted onto standard bases. You will have less usable light on the road, and rediculous amount of glare. There is however, a way to get HID lighting on your F150. The way to do this is by doing a complete retrofit. You would get projectors, bulbs and ballasts off of a HID factory equipped car and retrofit them into you stock housing.
I did a retrofit on my F250 and the difference in lighting is unreal. I used the equpitment off of a Acura TL. The bi xenons on this car are top of the line and the entire project cost me roughly 6-700 dollars. Well worth it in my opinion. Here is the link, it is a great project for a DIYer! https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...t=HID+retrofit
everyone says u will blind people.but if u aim them lower u dont blind people.i have HIDs on my 07 lariat. lows and fogs.and also on my 02kingranch.u dont have to do all that retrofit deal.just buy HIds from ebay.they r good.only 77bucks..u can beat it...and just dont get anything above 8000k u may get stopped..o and plus it looks cool with relectors instead of the retrofit projectors
I put in the http://www.euroeffects.net/ 8000K HID kit off of eBay for $170...2 things...
1 The High beam option is useless, a flash light is brighter
2 the 8000k is highest I would go, actually I would go with the 4300 or 6000K next time, brighter and whiter.
The low beam is unreal and well worth it though...
Geez, you guys are into headlights!! 6-7 hundred bucks for headlights? Hell, I just went to Silverstars for $27 and thought that was splurging !! LOL!!

Trust me you made the smarter decision by far! I sold some parts I had sitting in the garage and figured I would spend the $ on the HID's, I should have bought the silverstars and some beer and called it a night...haha
Yeah i bought Silverstars also for heads and fogs and spent $94...i thought that was a ton
Although since then a lot of people have been flashing me lately and then when i flash my brights back they seem appalled that i didnt have my brights on to begin with...
With my HID's the high beam option is what pisses me off the most, although the low beams are bright as *****...when people high beam me they must laugh when I attempt to flash them back...haha...
That's pretty much what I got off ebay except I went for the 170 ones b/c they used phillips ballests and those are usually better than the cheaper china knockoffs...but who knows I probably got a cheapo with a nice phillips sticker on it...LOL
I know I posted a new topic already but does anybody have the PIAA Xtreme White on their truck? They burn at 4,150K....
My brother has the PIAA's on his Ram and everytime he sees my truck he gets pissed he spent the money on the them instead of just going for the HID's...the HID's have come down quit a bit in price over the years. I would personally get the Silverstar Ultra's next time around and be able to use my highbeams.
Why cant you use your high beams? I just saw a truck that had both high beams and low beams, and the fog lights too....then again hes loaded and lives in the Hilton Hotel Condos in my City
