SYNC help
I just bought a 2008 Sport Trac with Nav and SYNC. It's awesome! All of the features work well except my address book from my phone (Samsung Blackjack) doesn't download to my SYNC. Is there a way to manually enter names/numbers into the SYNC computer address book?

Blackjack SYNC name entry
Hi dkderm,
The Blackjack doesn't support automatic phonebook download. But, you can send individual contacts using the Blackjack. Here is how:
On SYNC:
Select Modify Phonebook
(this is either under Phone Settings or Advanced depending on which radio type you have)
Then select Add Contacts
On your paired Blackjack:
Select "Contacts" from the homescreen
highlight the contact you wish to send
press 'Menu' ->3 Send Contact ->1 Beam
The 'Beam' menu will show the SYNC device. Select it and you'll see the display change to 'pending...' and then 'Done'.
'Done' indicates that the contact has been sent. You should notice that the count on your SYNC increases by '1'. You can repeat the Blackjack instructions above until you have sent all of the contacts you wish to have stored in your SYNC.

The contacts must be edited on the phone prior to sending them to SYNC. You can delete individual contacts from SYNC under 'Modify Phonebook' incase you want to remove a single contact and/or send a freshly edited version of a contact from your phone.
