Looking for trailer charge help (quick)

I've spent about 40 minutes searching threads with no luck so far. Hopefully this request will work better.

YMM:
2000
Ford
F-350 reg cab.

I've got the wiring for the trailer mostly set. The brakes and all the lights work. I've got no power to charge the trailer battery for the break away though. I went the Wal mart route for the 7 blade. It's got the standard black for the charge on the Wal mart 7 blade and on the trailer, but the stock ford trailer harness/tow package doesn't have a black the same guage as the white and blue. There's an orange wire on the truck but no orange on the Wal mart 7 blade or the trailer. Is the orange (which is the same guage as the blue (brake) and white (ground) the one I should have 12 volts on (for charging the battery) asuming the fuses and relays are good to go, or is the 12 volt charge on one of the smaller guage wires maybe the black/white(or light blue)?

Thanks in advance,

Doug

I had a problem with charging my trailer battery. I don't know if this is your problem but mine was a relay that was missing.

With these trucks, the engine has to be started to get power back to the trailer on pin 4.

Thanks for the replies all. I found the 7th connector didn't have the wire attached to the post. All works fine and I made it to AR with no problems.
