435 has a 6.6:1 first gear. 4th gear in all three top loaders is 1:1. I think the t18 has like a 4:1 first and is non syn in 1st gear, the t19 is sync in first. not positive on that though.
the difference comes mainly in syncros and having a pto output I believe.
Ive driven my bronco with the 4speed on the highway many times. It runs higher in the revs but its not a huge issue. still got decent gas milage and had good pulling power up hills already being in the sweet spot. Now if you go above 3.55 in the diff i dont know.
all the 4speeds NP435, T18 and 19 have the PTO out put plate on the side.
the 435 has a lower first than the 18 or 19's, not by a whole lot though. the main differance between the 18 and 19 is that the 19 has a syncronized first gear and is "usuall" a 4:1 first. both the 18 and 19 could have differant gears though in them. they are basically the same though externally and can interchange between each other without a problem.
