HI, I just wired up the EBPV brake and when I turn on the swith nothing happend. I have power going to the the sensor. I followed the direction from Diesel garage. I did not implement the braking part. Just a simple switch going to the diodes. What should I check for? What are the possible bad parts. On a note in the cold weather we been having here I never heard the noise I hear people say so I dont know if this worked to warm the truck. What should I test next?
did you cut the connector off the EBPV brake solenoid just under the turbo to wire it direct, if so, and you got the hot wire right, it should work, if not, you may have the wires backwards, if you did it another way, im not sure where to start, if your ecu is still connected to the solenoid, id check your fuse panel maybe.
mine only works when i flip the switch.
read this thread and see if you got it right...some times reading 2 dif. threads can clear things up better...this and most mod[s can be found in my mod's and fix link in my sig...good luck
I could replace the diodes and try the resister. I'm looking to some how rule out that I dont have a bad parts. Like i noted in the past I never heard a wishing sound when it was could out.
thanks
I was not able to disconnect the EBPV and move the rod. I will try tomorrow. I was able to removoe the diodes and put power to the sensor. Nothing happened. I will try to move the EBPV rod. Is there a way to test the sensor? Is it a sensor or a solenoid?
HOLD on. I was able to find a picture of the plug I was to cut into well I cut the wrong one. I cut the one in the Y valley that has two wires(plug that below where the vac lines are. Sorry. Now I have to leave work early to fix my mistake
glad you found the problem..you didnt go deep enough into the valley?? make sure you fix them wires you already cut..sounds like the one for MAP sensor that you cut...
