ebpv rebuild help

Hey guys I'm going to rebuild my ebpv today and wanted to see if i should get a small brake hone and what size and do i need a pull gauge?

I know the instructions on riff raffs site say to use a hone. Hopefully someone will chime in on this procedure. Also keep us posted on your experience doing this. I need to do it myself in the near future.

I used a brake cylinder hone and some brake fluid for cleaning. Then cleaned with Brake Clean and air dried. Rebuilt mine about a year ago and I believe it is leaking again. I used a fish weight scale to set the 10lbs on the arm. Walmart a couple of bucks.

mine hadn't been working for so long that my cylinder was very smooth.

I did some fine sand paper by hand and cleaned it.

no issues so far.

I would have done a delete pedestal but vans have an extra mount for a heat shield bracket that sits over the turbo.
