Ok today I was cruisin down 20th and to my right I saw a 1987-91 Ford 1ton diesel ambulance pull next to me. I thought this was odd and must be some small Municipal truck but on the side it said some like Saskatoon Health Region or area I forget the exact wording but it was a Saskatoon ambulance and driving it were two guys looking like so I assume paramedics.
But that seems odd too me I never thought A region like Saskatoon would not be still using a old Ambulance, Anyone have a theory or knowledge?
Maybe they were health maintenance workers who wanted to get between jobs in a hurry....
Did it have all the regular ambulance lights, equipment still on it?
I can`t say I`ve seen any such ambulance driving around.
its a sweet looking unit. Only problem they moved from the front of the yard byt the fence and road to the back and far away to look at without going inside the compound
I thought it was a B350 school bus, not an ambulance.
Am I wrong there?
Mebbe no, but most likely yes.
Wanta see some more?
How about the Wheeled Coach EMS, the Horton/Ford F Series, the Boardman Emergency, the Stratus/Ford, or the Advanced Life Support, the Southern Type 1. yadda yadda yadda.
All built on F350 Cab and Chassis.
Read all about it:
The American Ambulance ~ An Illustrated History ~ 1900-2002. Published by Iconografix (ISBN: 1-58388-081-X)
One needs a lot of refs if they wish to play on FTE.
I have several books on the Professional Cars, too.
Professional Cars, what y'all take your last ride in.
Henry took his last ride in a 1942 Packard.
