putco chrome overlays

i am trying to get these things off my side mirrors and door handles...my truck is painted underneath these things. since it has gotten colder i have been trying more to get them off. they just will not budge. i have not tried the handles yet, but it seems like they will not be as bad. i do not want to mess up the paint underneath so i am taking my time. any ideas on what to do?

I would try a hair drier or heat gun on low to soften the adhesive to allow them to come off easier. When you get them off use some Goo Gone to get the last of the adhesive off without harming the finish.
