I'd say something's wrong. Without any information on the car or truck that we're talking about, that's as specific as I can be.

I had a similar thing a few weeks ago and found it wasn't trans slipping going into overdrive but torque slipping when it locked
when torque slipped trans would shift seeming like trans was slipping
try locking out of overdrive and see if torque slips like mine did

what do you call a light load and how many miles is on the truck?

it may be your torque converter

I think you guys are on to somthing...by light load i mean quarter pedal at most..If I went through the gears at half pedal wont do It....only going Into overdrive...never going Into 2nd or 3rd,Just overdrive...and It does feel like a tourque converter shudder.....but how do you fix/tighten that up...

With 50,000 on the fluid it's time for a change. One of the symptoms of worn out trans fluid is torque converter shudder. The only other thing I can suggest to fix it is to rebuild the trans and replace the torque converter. Of course that will get you new trans fluid, which is probably your problem.

You can have the trans flushed, INCLUDING the torque converter. This usually works on most vehicles. The problem is if you havent serviced the trans regularly, it could make it worse by taking the metal out of the fluid, good luck.
