Ball Joint Replacement
Hi Guys, I have a '95 F-150 4x4 w/ the 302. It needs new ball joints and I don't have the $800 that a mechanic quoted me to change all 4 ball joints, both u-joints, and both hub locks, so I'm gonna have to do it myself. I was wondering if any of you guys can give me some advice or recommend any literature on the process. I rented a press tool but I'm not sure if there are any other tools, other than the obvious, that I may need to buy/rent. Any help you guys can give would be very much appreciated. THANKS JSP

Using moog parts for chassis, I priced this recently and I know the parts from a website were around 350.00 including tie rod ends. I know around here they charge 77.00 per side labor to do ball joints. Did this include an alignment. Only thing I recommend is using QUALITY parts, it doesnt pay to go cheap as you will have to do the job again in a year or so. Make sure you keep the new Ball Joints are greased.
